Chris started Frontline Services back in 2020 as a true one-man army. With nothing but determination, a van with tools, and a vision to provide reliable construction fleet equipment auto-electrical, repairs and servicing, he built the business from the ground up. For the first couple of years, it was just Chris working out in the field during the day and running everything behind the scenes at night.
In 2022, the team took a huge leap forward and doubled up when Sam came onboard, bringing a second to none work ethic, knowledge, and support to help keep up with growing demand. His ability to work on anything and everything was vital to the initial growth.
By 2023, Martin joined the crew, specialising in the MEWP division. Martin brought in some much-needed consistency in one area, quietly getting on with what needed to be done. 2024 saw Catherine came into the mix, strengthening the service team even further with all her experience in the civil industry as well as her hunger to constantly upskill. More recently, Stacey joined part-time in the office to help Chris manage the day-to-day admin and keep everything running smoothly.
From humble beginnings working out of a single van on sites, Frontline Services has now stepped into an exciting new chapter. Just last month, the team moved into a 480m2 commercial workshop in Ormiston Rd, East Tamaki, Auckland. A big milestone that reflects how much the business has grown in just a few years.
And there’s even more good news. Frontline Services is now the nationwide dealership in New Zealand for Zone Forklifts. This partnership opens the door to new opportunities and means we can bring even more value and quality to businesses across the country. From a one-man operation to a strong, growing team with a brand-new headquarters and exclusive supplier rights, Frontline Services is only just getting started. Watch this space – the journey ahead is looking bigger and better than ever.
Starting your own business is never easy, it means stepping out of your comfort zone, taking risks, and backing yourself even when the odds are stacked against you. The Frontline journey shows that sometimes, you just have to start and keep moving forward, one machine at a time.
